“We’ve got him right where we want him!” Cell exclaimed, landing on the cliff. Frieza landed beside him, staring down at the ice black below, Goku frozen within.
Frieza smiled. “Finally.” He began to charge his Death Beam attack. “Let’s finish this!”
“With pleasure!” Cell replied, and began charging his own. The smile fled from his face as the ice containing the now-young Sayian began to ripple. “Is that what I think it is?”
Frieza squinted. “What the… how is the ice melting!?”
“It’s not possible! Nothing can melt that ice!”
Frieza grimaced. “Keep charging, Cell. Even if he is doing the impossible, he’s still immobile! We still have him right where we want him!”
Balls of purple energy the size of their heads rested on their fingertips, as Goku’s ice steadily melted. Man, I need to get out of here! I can’t survive shots that powerful like this!
Frieza and Cell both noticed Goku’s fingers twitch. “FIRE!” Frieza commanded, launching his beam straight at the ice block, Cell following suit. Both lances of purple energy pierced the both the block and Goku, shattering the block and dumping Goku’s body to the ground. A tense moment passed, waiting for Goku to get up.
“Are we sure he’s dead?” Cell asked.
“Check his pulse.” Frieza replied.
“You check his pulse.”
Sayians had the notorious habit of living through things that should have killed any living being, Goku especially. And despite all their bluster, neither warrior was too willing to get close to the little monkey boy, especially if he was as strong as they’d heard.
Frieza cast another Death Beam at the body, which hit. No other movement. “I think he’s dead.”
“One of us should check to make sure.”
Frieza sighed. “I’ll do it. Charge up another Death Beam. If he’s still alive, I’ll hold him so you can shoot him.”
“That’s unusually noble of you, Frieza. Sacrificing yourself-”
“I’ll regenerate, he won’t. Remember Cell? We’re dead already.”
“Right.” Cell began charging up a second beam.
Frieza jumped down to Goku’s body, and kicked it. No movement. He stomped on his belly, and still no response. Frieza’s hopes rose, but before he said anything, he knelt down and did the obvious: he checked his pulse. Nothing. Frieza stood, smiling. “We got him, Cell!”
Cell breathed a sigh of relief, dispersing his Death Beam. A grin spread across his face. “Finally.” He leapt down to Frieza. “I say we throw his body back to the mortal world, showing those little brats that we are the best warriors in the universe!”
“No, they’ll just wish him back with those stupid Dragon Balls.” Frieza paused. “WE should get them! With Goku out of the way, we can clean up the rest of those ‘Z-Fighters’ or whatever they call themselves, and we can wish for immortality!”
“Yes, I forgot that we could use them! We can resume our rightful places as the best warriors in the universe, and the Dragon Balls will make us unstoppable!” Cell burst into maniacal laughter, Frieza joining in. The duo high-fived, then walked away, discussing their new plans.
Takes place when Frieza and Cell fight Goku in Hell during GT.

Don't yell at me about continuity, I don't care.
